With His Filthy, Sexist “I Wasn’t Impressed” Comment, .@RealDonaldTrump Doubles Down on Crazy And Throws Election 2016 | Blog#42

What presidential candidate has ever said about their opponent that they wouldn’t shtoop them? Incredibly, Donald Trump just did.

During a North Carolina rally, Donald Trump said this about Hillary Clinton:

“I’m standing at my podium and she walks in front of me, right,”

“She walks in front of me, you know. And when she walked in front of me, believe me, I wasn’t impressed.”

When someone stands accused of sexual assault by over a dozen women, the last thing one would expect is more sexual innuendo. Who in their right minds would say such a thing about their opponent and expect voters to reward them with a vote? Surely, not even The Drumpf himself. Right? Wrong. But he didn’t stop there. Now that he’s “unshackled,” he’s on a mission to torch everything in his path. He turned his attention to President Obama and pondered:

“He’s an incompetent president. He doesn’t know me. And why doesn’t some woman maybe come up and say what they say falsely about me? They could say it about him. They could say it about anybody.”

I suppose someone who is opposed to President Obama might try to paint him as incompetent. But Trump doesn’t do what one would expect: follow up with a list of actions he deems as proof of incompetence. Instead, he fulfills a racist fantasy of a Black man accused of rape and implies that anyone can be accused of sexual predation, including our president. Well, no. Not Barack Obama. Whatever one thinks of Obama’s politics, his love for his family and his devotion to his wife and daughters have been exemplary. There’s not been a hint of scandal in eight years and Trump won’t be the one to change that as his flaming candidacy hurtles past us and sinks into the magma of failed candidacies past.

Looking back at the last week, with Trump’s apology for the Billy Bush Access Hollywood video as a starting point, and the Greensboro speech as an end-point, it is patently clear that Donald Trump never had any intention of winning. Lack of worldliness and vulgarity aside, no one in Trump’s position can navigate through life and, now, a presidential campaign, with this foolishness as a winning strategy.

As I’ve been saying for over a year now, Trump has put on the biggest act, the hugest con. He never really wanted to win. If the strategy of Trump as the angry white rich dude appealing to the angry white Republican voter might have succeeded, then Trump embracing his sexist, racist, rapey inner self and going into the home stretch like this has got to be Trump’s way of ensuring he loses.

There is no way someone as cold and calculating as Trump is doing this in the belief that it will win him an election. None.

  1. The grand experiment, intended or not, but which can be analyzed for social significance for years to come, is just how far his incompetent and outrageous envelope has had to be pushed to finally cause a decline in his poll numbers to such a degree to finally paint an obvious and undeniable picture of his demise.

What does this say about our culture, our people, our class divides and what does it say about his opponent, Hillary Clinton?

  2. When you think about it, the Trump franchise has nothing to lose and everything to gain. The election contest gives the family the best opportunity to market the Trump name to the biggest audience. To stay relevant and in the spotlight, they pander to the lowest elements of society. Sadly, the media early on bought into the charade and perpetuated a doomed candidate. Unfortunately, given the alternative, Americans and the World, will pay dearly.

I believe good and decent people abound. The next time the establishment will fail to muzzle and restrain the vast majority of anti-establishment sentiment. A very stark reality exists and the tawdry and disingenuous defense of the middle class and the most disadvantaged by the establishment promises a seismic shift in politics in the years and decades to follow. Desperate people everywhere react desperately!
